The first examples of the bands new direction were demo versions of two songs, My Delusions and Dont let me down which saw the light of day early in 2005. These tracks were instantly picked up on by Radio 1s; Zane Lowe who played My delusions on several occasions and invited the band to play live on his show from Austin, Texas, during this years SXSW music festival. AMPOP played alongside The Bravery, Hot Hot Heat, The Blood Arm and Queens of the Stone Age as the only unsigned band. Other important DJs such as Huw Stephens and Vic Galloway at Radio 1, or Vic McGlynn at BBC 6 Music have also put the stamp of approval to the new songs and have championed the band in their radio shows. After the successful appearance at SXSW the band went back to their studio to finish the album, stopping only to play in NY and the NXNE festival in Toronto

Ampop My Delusions
Ampop is an Icelandic melodic-pop/rock band from Reykjavk, Iceland. The name of the band is actually the name of the first song they ever wrote, and is made from the words ambient and pop, which they thought was the definition of the music they were making at that time.The band was originally a duo, but before making their third album they added a drummer to the band. | Darker My Love is a psychedelic rock band based in Los Angeles, California. The band consists of 5 members. Tim Presley, a former member of the band The Nerve Agents and also a visual artist responsible for much of the band's imagery, contributes vocals and guitar. Andy Granelli, formerly a member of both The Nerve Agents and The Distillers, plays drums. Cornell Dupree Bop 'n' Blues
Cornell Dupree is an influential R&B guitarist who has worked with Donny Hathaway and Steve Gadd, appeared on David Letterman, and written a book on soul and blues guitar: Rhythm and Blues Guitar ISBN 0-634-00149-3. He has recorded on - reputedly - over 2500 albums, many by major artists. He started off playing on the Atlantic Records studio band, recording on albums by Aretha Franklin (check out "live at the Fillmore") and King Curtis ("Memphis Soul Stew").

The two debuted on Lord Finesse's Funky Technician album in 1990, on two tracks each. The Stance Brothers Kind Soul
The Stance Brothers is a project by Teppo Teddy Rok Mkynen. Teppo has thus far gained fame both as a producer and as an outstanding drummer. He is the drummer and live band leader of the globe-trotting The Five Corners Quintet, the visionary behind the late Teddy Rok Seven, and the producer of such Finnish jazz co-luminaries as Jukka Eskola and Timo Lassy, to name but few of this all-encompassing talents endeavours.

The band was formed by the Stance brothers Isiah and Dwayne. After enlisting their friend, a virtuoso drummer by the name of Byron Breaks, the line up was complete. The core of The Stance Brothers sound stems from countless of hours spent jamming at their dusty garage. The trios unfaultering will to excel in playing funk-influenced garage jazz comes second only to their passion for shooting hoops at the nearby basketball court.
